Welcome to AZO
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and AZO. By downloading or using AZO, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use AZO.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use AZO. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use AZO only with the consent of a parent or guardian, and you should only make purchases with their permission.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for your account, your password, and everything that happens under your account. Keep your password private and let us know at support@azobattles.app if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
One person, one account. Creating additional accounts to manipulate votes, evade a ban, or inflate engagement is prohibited.
3. Content Rules
Do not post content that is:
- Hateful, discriminatory, or harassing
- Sexual, violent, or illegal
- Defamatory or knowingly false about real people
- Infringing on copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Spam, scams, or deliberately misleading
We may remove content that violates these rules and may suspend or terminate accounts. Repeat violations may result in a permanent ban and forfeiture of any unused Sparks.
4. Voting Rules
Every account receives a number of free votes each day, which reset daily. The exact number is shown in the app and may change as we tune the experience.
Additional votes can be unlocked using Sparks.
Vote manipulation is prohibited. This includes bots, automated scripts, coordinated voting rings, and creating additional accounts to vote more than once on the same battle. Accounts found manipulating votes may be suspended or terminated.
5. ⚡ Sparks — AZO's Virtual Currency
Buying Sparks
- All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store
- Sparks are credited to your account once Apple confirms the purchase — this is usually immediate but can occasionally take a few minutes
- Sparks are non-refundable except where required by law
- Refund requests must be made to Apple, not to AZO. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases
- You are purchasing a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use Sparks within AZO — not property or a financial asset
Spending Sparks
Sparks can currently be used for:
- Extra Votes — vote beyond your free daily allowance
- Trending Boost — increase a battle's visibility
- Featured Battle — feature a battle you created
- Battle Duration — set or extend how long your battle runs
- Gifting — send Sparks to another user
Once spent, Sparks are consumed and cannot be recovered. Prices for these features are shown in the app and may change.
If Sparks Are Lost
If you are charged for Sparks that do not appear in your account, contact us at support@azobattles.app with your Apple receipt and we will investigate.
Availability and Changes
We may add, change, or discontinue features that Sparks can be spent on, and may adjust prices. If we discontinue a feature you have unused Sparks for, those Sparks remain available for other uses in the app.
6. Creator Features (Planned)
We are exploring a program that would let creators earn Sparks based on activity on the battles they create.
If we launch such a program, we will publish the rules that apply to it and update these Terms before it becomes available.
7. Intellectual Property
You keep ownership of the content you create. By posting to AZO, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and promote that content within AZO and in marketing for AZO. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by other users or retained in backups.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you post. The AZO name, logo, and design are our property.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app via Profile → Delete My Account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. In either case, unused Sparks are forfeited and are not refundable.
9. Disclaimers
AZO is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content posted by other users will be accurate or appropriate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to AZO is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Sparks in the six months before the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
11. Apple
These Terms are between you and AZO, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for AZO or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of AZO after that means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
